About Us

Mousumi Mukherjee Memorial Trust was formed and registered on 24th January, 2024 vide Regn No. IV-1902-00153/2024 having the following Trustees :

  1. Arijit Mukherjee as Chairman and Author of the Trust
  2. Arundhuti Mukherjee
  3. Abhijit Mukherjee
  4. Sreemati Banerjee
  5. Abhijit Sen.

The trust obtained the following registrations from the Income Tax Authorities to carry out the activities and claim exemptions/deductions in line with I.T. Act.

  1. Exemption under Section 80G vide URN AAJTM2605GF20241
  2. Exemption under Section 12 A vide URN AAJTM2605GE20241
  3. Darpan Registration No. WB/2024/0417006 dtd 20.5.2024

Arijit Mukherjee

Chairman

He is a retired Joint General Manager of LIC Housing Finance Limited, an organization he was associated for 34 years. He has also worked in the subsdiary Companies of LICHFL – LICHFL Financial Services as Regional Business Head, Western Region and also in LICHFL Asset Management Company ( deals in Private Equity) as Executive Vice President. He is an alumni of St. Xaviers’ College, Kolkata having graduated in Commerce. Upon his retirement, Shri Mukherjee is engaged in various social activities. He brings in loads of experience as Corporate honcho in this Trust.

Arundhuti Mukherjee

Vice President

She is a practicing Lawyer at the Supreme Court of India. She is engaged in various social welfare activities in Mumbai prior to her getting shifted at New Delhi. She did her B.Com from Narsee Monjee College in Mumbai before taking up Law as her profession after graduating from OP Jindal University, Haryana.

Sreemati Banerjee

Member

Sreemati Banerjee is a post Graduate and Silver Medalist in Medieval History from Rabindra Bharati University. She is associated with various social activities in and around in the city of Kolkata. She is an ex-Member of Rotaract Club, Kamarhati.

Abhijit Sen

Member

Abhijit Sen is a service holder and philanthropist. He is young and energetic and is associated with various organisations that deals with downtrodden members of the society. He is in particular engaged with various social activities amongst street children of North Kolkata. Shri Sen is also a Member of the NGO “ ALO FOUNDATION ” engaging in various philantrophic activities. He is a Commerce graduate from Kolkata University.

Abhijit Mukherjee

Member

Abhijit Mukherjee, an alumni of St. Xaviers’ College, Kolkata and a MBA from Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (ISWBM) under Kolkata University having specialisation in Marketing. He has got a rich experience of more than 25 years handling diverse portfolios, organizing events and spearheading projects for jewellery, pharmaceuticals, air conditioning technology concrete, trade and energy industries. Handled various government and corporate launches of their brands. Presently is an independent Consultant in the event management and in association with the Government of Uttar Pradesh conducted various trade shows and premier events.
